As a mom, it’s easy to become frustrated and impatient. You pour everything into your child and do everything you think you’re supposed to be doing a good mom. But sometimes, you wonder if you’re missing the boat because all you see is tantrums, talk-backs and messes. You teach and pray and read what the “experts” say but your efforts seem to be in vain.
Hold on, dear mom. I promise you will see the fruit of your good labor. It just takes time. It’s not like baking a cake where you can see the results quickly after your work. It’s more like planting a six inch sapling, nurturing and watering it. And years later, you will see a strong trunk and beautiful blossoms. And people will look on it in awe at its majesty, beauty and strength.
That’s how it is raising children. It takes time but you will reap a harvest if you don’t grow faint. You will see your reward.
Will you make mistakes along the way? Certainly. We all do. But those mistakes are nothing more than lessons to help you grow, just like your child is growing.
Keep the faith, dear one.
